Background Changes
------------------

* November 1991. Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia established.

* January 9 1992. Following a plebiscite in Serb areas, supported by 96%
of voters, Serb assembly proclaimed the Republika Srbska, declaring it
part of Yugoslavia.

* February 21. United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) is created by UN
Security Council Resolution 743. Initial mandate is to ensure conditions
for peace talks and to provide security in demilitarised safe-havens.

* February 22. Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina declares and passes a
referendum for independence on 29 February, passed a referendum for
independence. Referendum boycotted by Bosnian Serbs.

* March 11. Carrington-Cutileiro peace plan rejected by the Bosnian Serb
Republic. Bosnian Serb alternative This is rejected by Culiteiro, but put
forth a new draft which is accepted by the Bosnians, Serbs, and Croats on
March 18. However on 28th March, Bosnian representative Izetbegović
withdraws his signature after meeting with then US ambassador to
Yugoslavia in Sarajevo.

Scene One: Stefanija is Missing!
--------------------------------

With Olga eventually rescued from the pattern, Stefanija takes care of the
Illyrian skull and hides it from view. Over the next few months
substantial changes occur to the Bosnian political landscape and the pack
makes efforts to protect their caern from the rising conflict. Then one
morning, Stefanija and Olga go are missing. An extensive search (including
a botched attempt by Faris to conduct the rite of the Questing Stone) does
not provide much information where they may have ended up. On the evening
of April 1st, a Vampire messanger, Borislav Bogić arrives telling the
pack that if they want to see Stefanija again they must take the Illyrian
skull to Fikret Abdić, the head of in Western Bosnia.

In preparation for the journey, Adrien finds quartz cutter in Sarajevo to
produce another skull with fake Illyrian inscriptions, and also purchases
powerful lights and tracer bullets. Mursad claims that there is a legal
meeting of Agrokomerc in Bihac. Faris researched the alleged weaknesses of
vampires but discovers nothing special. With a crystal skull in wheel
arch, and a shotgun, rifle, and sabre hidden in a plate under the car the
party heads towards Bihac.

Scene Two: Misdirection and Captures
------------------------------------

Just near the border of Republika Srspka, the Republic of Serbian Krajina,
the Croatian Republic, and the Bosnian enclave the party ran into
crossfire between Serbian and Croatian forces. Unfortunately both sides
turned incidental fire on the party's vehicle. Jana took the opportunity
to escape and take to the woods, whilst the others attempted to escape and
were eventually captured by the forces of Serbian Krajina who then took
them to the outskirts of Slunj. Jana attempted to follow, but instead
became lost and ended the night with a friendly wolfpack in the finds
wolves at Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Deciding to escape the rump of the lycanthropes eventually decided to take
the opportunity to transform and take on their captors. It was initially
surprisingly unsuccessful, but normal humans have little chance of
preventing a group of werewolves. Taking a new car, the party took the
road again and made their way into Velika Kladuša, having realised tha
tthe proposed business meteing Bihac was incorrect.

Scene Three: The Lair of Fikret Abdić and Valkenberg Institute
--------------------------------------------------------------

An attempt to enter the castle of Velika Kladuša eventually proved
unncessary, as the party were welcomed as guests in the fortified
stronghold of Fikret Abdić. He explained that it was preferable that
otherkin such as those ruling Serbia, and those in Bosnia, worked together
in preference to being in conflict. He also pointed out that he knew that
the skull was a fake, as he was in contact with the quartz cutter. Alas,
the pack was unable to explain what had become of the real crystal skull.

As for Stefanija, she had unfortunately gone mad and now could be found at
the Valkenberg Institute, near Novi Grad in Republika Srspka. The party
was released and took the opportunity to go to the Institute where they
learned of its function; in part to protect lycanthropes who had lost
their way, were orphaned etc., and in part to captures those who were
lifting the veil. The Institute had lost all members of the previous
reconnaissance pack and requested the group take up that role. Despite
Faris' misgivings as the smell of the Wyrm was faintly on the place, the
party took up the position.
