[Nota bene: You can *enter* through the West and into Charg, a land
covered by the Syndics Ban. The problem is that nobody has ever come out.
The following refers to the effects in Fronela.
"There were many states and territories in Fronela, and each one was now
totally cut off from its neighbours walls of grey fog. Passing through the
fog was impossible. People who entered often never returned. Birds could
not fly over the fog. Magical messages could not be sent through; even
temples to the same gods were cut off from each other. A great beast
lurked in the Janube River, waiting to devour any ships that tried to sail
its waters.
...
As of 1621, most of Fronela is now open, but a few regions are still under
the Ban. The region of Charg, former home of the ferocious Bull Shahs,
remains cut off (which is probably for the best)."
